FRANK RAY’S CATCHY “COUNTRY’D LOOK GOOD ON YOU” BECOMES MOST ADDED SONG FROM A NEW ARTIST IN 2021

Debut Single Garners Impressive 59 Adds by Impact Day

Country’d Look Good On You,” Frank Ray’s debut single with BBR Music Group/Stoney Creek Records today became the Most Added song on Country radio by a new artist (by impact day) this year and third Most Added of the week behind Kane Brown and Keith Urban. The catchy mid-tempo track with rural imagery, backroad swagger and contemporary Country groove earned 59 adds.

Produced by Frank Rogers, “Country’d Look Good On You,” with its fun yet mellow vibe, is equal parts smooth and down home. The Country newcomer showcases the versatility of his voice across the infectious tune, delivering classic Country vocals in each verse before delving into a suave chorus that is rounded out at the end with some ‘90s high notes.

“It’s hard to describe the feeling of hearing your own song come on the radio—it brings all kinds of emotions to the surface—I’m grateful to my incredible fans, family, manager Oscar Chavira and my entire team,” said Frank Ray. “Thank you to Country radio for gifting me with that incredible feeling and continuing to support me and my dream.”

Watch the emotional moment Frank heard the song on the radio for the first time in his hometown here.

“It’s so exciting to see the magic of Frank’s Country Radio Broadcaster Board performance just a couple of months ago, culminate in a massive first week. I’ll never forget Rod Phillips jumping up at end of Frank’s set and shouting ‘Let’s Goooo!’,” said Jon Loba, President BMG Nashville. “Thank you so much to our friends in radio for taking such a leadership position and acting on their passion in large numbers early!”

The former police officer, Texas chart-topper, and bilingual entertainer wowed at the Country Radio Broadcasters (CRB) Board Dinner earlier this summer (read more about it in Country Insider) and is currently on his first radio tour receiving early praise from Country radio’s tastemakers:

“It took us less than dos minutos to get excited about Frank Ray. A great voice and great songs, pretty good combination.” — Rod Phillips (Executive Vice President of Programming, Country Brand Manager iHeart Media)

“You can feel it. Frank Ray is going to be a force in Country music.” — Tim Roberts (Vice President/Audacy -Country Format Capt.)

“We are excited to watch things unfold for Frank Ray…I was sold after the first listen!” — John Reynolds (VP of Music & Entertainment / Beasley Media Group PD – WSOC Charlotte)

“A smashing success, and I would agree with the term ‘showstopper,’” RJ Curtis (Country Radio Broadcasters Executive Director)

“Listener response has been 100 percent positive. Every time the song plays on KHEY-FM I will see Instagram [and] Snapchat stories tagging the station and Frank Ray.” — Patti Diaz (iHeartMedia VP of Programming at the El Paso cluster)

In June, Frank released “Streetlights,” a “Country story with Latin flair,” (The Boot ). Inspired by his Mexican heritage, the uptempo track is a rhythmic, sexy smooth cross between Country and Latin music with a lively groove, bright horns, swelling chorus and bright fusion of sounds. Ray is managed by Oscar Chavira and is a staff songwriter at Spirit Music Nashville/Fluid Music Revolution.
